Getting Started
I need to boot-strap things around here so to get something up fast here is a link to my Pandora profile. Pandora is a branch of the Music Genome Project that set out to make a taxonomy of music - a big and some would say impossible goal, but they can't call it useless because we have Pandora. Pandora takes as input songs or artists you like and plays songs with similar qualities as per their taxonomy. It's free for 30 hours a week, you can't choose the songs but you can skip 6 per hour. It has helped me find some new music, but because my tastes tend to the obscure and Pandora has been fighting for it's life with the music labels to be able to play anything at all I don't often hear anything new.
In my profile you can find the songs I've bookmarked and listen to the stations I've created and listen to. At the moment I am on a bluegrass kick so I have been listening to my Nickel Creek station that plays people like Alison Krauss - about who my Dad and I have begun to say: If her's is not the voice you hear when you get to heaven, you're in the wrong place.
